Lakeville Ames Arena opened in October 1994 as a single sheet ice arena. Due to the increased demand for ice time a second sheet was added to the facility in 1998. Ames Arena provides ice time to Lakeville Hockey Association and Lakeville North and South Boys and Girls Hockey programs. It also offers public skating and Learn to Skate classes. Ames Arena is available during the summer months for a wide variety of dry floor events including artificial turf rental, trade shows, conventions, meetings or community events.
